This year, I worked on the research and design team for New York City Council District 35's Participatory budgeting campaign. The design process was complemented by extensive research in order to conceptualize and develop an effective design system for our campaign strategy. Aimed to enhance engagement in the district's voting process, the resulting deliverables ranged from print supplements including pamphlets and posters, to social media and web assets.
Motivated by the increasing demand for multifunctional tools and seamless integration, my thesis explores the future of digital interfaces. As technology becomes more complex the challenge is to balance functionality with usability. By leveraging context aware computing, this project aims to create an experience that enhances digital productivity while preserving ease of use.
This research-driven project explores the complexities of womanhood through an interdisciplinary approach, combining interviews, crowdsourced narratives, and academic readings. By weaving together personal accounts and cultural analysis, the project explores how societal expectations, upbringing, and identity shape the lived experience of being raised as a woman. The culmination is a series of print-based editorial work that reflect on nuanced realities of gendered experiences, inviting reflection and dialogue on the evolving definitions of womanhood.
A mobile app designed to solve a modern problem: how to avoid people. Based on the idea that our social circles exist in a range of spaces, and the idea of navigating these spaces with uncertainty of who we might run into, the Clash app is designed to manage social interactions.
